Speeding up cross town travel and connecting urban areas with Helsinki’s International Airport 

Ottawa’s first Light Rail Transit system is an ongoing Design-Build-Finance-Maintain project delivered by WSP as a joint venture with the Rideau Transit Group.

Since 2007, we have worked to secure funding, develop, expand, and enhance Greater Manchester’s iconic tram system. 

With congestion forecasted to double by 2021, Edinburgh needed to address the issue of transport capacity. The development of a new tram system provided a solution to the city’s growing public transport needs.

WSP has partnered with City Rail Link Ltd, VINCI Construction Grands Projects, Downer, Soletanche Bachy International, AECOM, and Tonkin + Taylor to form the Link Alliance.  Together, we are committed to delivering Aotearoa New Zealand's largest and most complex infrastructure project, City Rail Link.  

WSP is the rail delivery partner for the first high-speed rail system planned for implementation in the US and has developed new railway standards for HSR in the country.

When it opened on February 6, 2010, the new line reduced travel time between Zhengzhou and X’ian in China from up to 11 hours to about 2 hours.
