Canadian Leadership Team
Marie-Claude Dumas is WSP in Canada’s President. She is also WSP's Global Executive Sponsor, for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ). She joined WSP in January 2020 as Global Director, Major Projects and Programs/Executive Market Leader – Québec, working closely with our Global and Canadian operations and leadership teams. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Ms. Dumas brings a proven track record as a global engineering and consulting executive with over 20 years of multi-disciplinary management and consulting experience acquired with several multinationals.
Pierre Pichet joined WSP in February 2023, he is responsible for ensuring world-class excellence and leadership in WSP’s project delivery. He brings to WSP his rich experience in strategic business transformation, financial planning, project delivery excellence and strategic sourcing, gained in the various executive leadership roles he has held at SNC-Lavalin over the past 18 years. Pierre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
Peter Filato is the Chief Financial Officer for WSP in Canada, providing strategic advice and consulting on business matters to the Canadian Leadership Team in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years of extensive experience in financial positions in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, along with his strong leadership and excellent relationship-building skills, Peter is well-positioned to help guide the company’s business objectives.
Janet possesses close to 25 years of legal and management experience in the private sector. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice President, Legal, at a global company, leading the legal function in major infrastructure, power and transportation projects across the globe.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Law (Common Law) from McGill University.
Zoe Nutten brings deep expertise in the areas of People Strategy and Management from a career rooted in Strategy and Operations. This includes workplace transformation, setting talent strategy, broadening employee development programs, professional development and resource staffing. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Nutten helps drive WSP’s culture to higher performance levels through partnership, collaboration and innovation on critical strategic human capital issues.
Jazz Pabla is the Chief Innovation Officer for WSP in Canada. In his role, Jazz is responsible for the creation and execution of the company’s innovation strategy. With close to 20 years working in the Canadian digital transformation and information technology space, he has significant experience in delivering solutions that align with business initiatives to deliver impactful results. Before joining WSP, Jazz worked in the municipal sector, where he delivered technology-based solutions to drive operational efficiency.
Charles-Olivier Bernard is Senior Vice President, Commercial and Risk for WSP in Canada. Based out of Montréal, Québec, Charles-Olivier oversees commercial, risk, subcontractor management and information technology for WSP’s Canadian operations. He has more than 20 years of experience and acts as a strategic commercial advisor with the executive leadership team and for national operations. He is the Chair of Canada’s Opportunity Review Committee and focuses on operational excellence, results, business governance, efficiency and agility. Prior to joining WSP, he served in various executive roles at SNC-Lavalin, where he led commercial and risk activities for large business units. He is also a practiced lawyer who began his career as a litigator at a large national law firm before entering the engineering and construction industry. Charles-Olivier graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a Bachelor of Law and is a member of the Québec Bar.
Renée Sauriol is Vice President, Marketing and Communications for WSP in Canada. Ms. Sauriol oversees all external and internal communications including brand and marketing and serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership. She is a highly experienced communications strategist constantly working at creating an inclusive and engaging environment to empower teams and people. She has a wide experience in stakeholder relations, as well as delivering innovative marketing and communications strategies. Prior to joining WSP in Canada, Ms. Sauriol held senior leadership positions at leading organizations in the financial, health care and public utility industries.
François Lemay is Executive Vice President of Property and Buildings for WSP in Canada, recognized as a people-oriented leader with a strong focus on Clients and Employees and a solid understanding of the industry and market trends. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa and is a licensed engineer in Ontario and Québec. Before joining WSP in 2021, François served as National Vice President, Public Sector – Federal, at SNC Lavalin, managing the strategic growth of a portfolio of federal clients. With 30 years of experience in Property and Buildings consulting, François possesses strategic insight instrumental to growing WSP’s Property and Buildings business to the next level.
Corey McNair is the Sector Leader, Earth and Environment (E&E), for WSP in Canada, having joined the company in January 2019. A professional engineer by trade, Corey is a strategic leader whose collaborative approach has helped deliver key projects in the nuclear, construction, transportation, and environment sectors.
Corey holds both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Western University and a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western.
Corina spent 17 years with Ontario Northland, joining the company in 2005 as its Director of Telecommunications. She held multiple senior leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer, eventually being named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2014. She led a number of strategic initiatives during that time, helping transform the company from a regional transportation agency to a thriving commercially-driven organization.
Corina will be responsible for leading a Canadian Transportation and Infrastructure team that is dedicated to developing sustainable, resilient, innovative and Future ReadyTM solutions for communities.
Rehan Wasti is the Executive Vice-President for WSP in Canada's Energy, Resources and Industry (ERI) sector.
He is an entrepreneurial, customer-centric, results-oriented leader with close to 20 years of experience in the professional services industry. Rehan has a unique skill set that encompasses an understanding of engineering, project management, consulting, international business development and strategy, and operations management.
Amir Abd El Halim is Executive Vice President of Ontario and the Atlantics for WSP in Canada, joining the company in 2023. In his role, Amir takes a Future Ready approach to foster collaboration between our Sectors and Regions to drive growth and deliver services to our clients. He has over 20 years of experience in the North American engineering consulting industry, primarily in the transportation and infrastructure sectors. Amir holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental) and a Master’s of Civil Engineering (Transportation) from Carleton University, as well as a PhD in Civil Engineering (Infrastructure Management) from the University of Waterloo.
Peter Hatcher is Regional Executive Vice President, Western Canada and Territories. Over a 30-year career, Peter has developed an extensive background in operations, management and project delivery of engineering, procurement and construction solutions in the energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors. He has held leadership positions in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Australia. He has expertise in leveraging digital/data management strategies and innovative and cost-effective technical solutions for clients.
He is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario.
Olivier Joyal is Executive Vice President of Québec for WSP in Canada. Olivier has been with WSP for nearly 20 years, and has held various leadership roles, including Earth and Environment Executive Vice President in Canada in 2019. He also currently leads WSP in Canada’s Client Program. A geologist by training, he is known as a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a structured and focused approach to client engagement.
