Ricker Plume Stability Method®

Is your dissolved groundwater plume shrinking, stable or increasing? We can help you get answers.

This empirical tool uses powerful visualizations and meaningful plume-wide metrics to help you understand plume behavior. See your plume’s area, average concentrations and plume mass, as well as center of mass movement over time.

Ricker Method® Spatial Change Indicator™

This powerful tool provides detailed insight into specific parts of your plume. It can demonstrate remediation effectiveness, optimize remediation strategies and identify potential sources, and illustrate how your plume is reacting to natural and man-made environmental conditions at your site.

With this tool you can observe relative changes in your groundwater plume over time. It can identify areas of potential sourcing, evaluate plume migration and remedial performance, and provide evidence of attenuation and many other powerful interpretations of plume behavior.

Remediation System Benefit Analysis (RSBA)®

Is your pump-and-treat system effective? Our RSBA® tool provides a method of evaluating the efficacy of shutting down a pump-and-treat system and provides insight into system optimization strategies.

With this tool we take a closer look at what is having a greater effect on your plume: the in-place system or natural degradation processes. With this information, we can help you evaluate the relative impact your active groundwater remediation system is having on the stability of your dissolved plume.

Ricker Method® Well Sufficiency Analysis (WSA)™

This tool is used to determine the appropriate number of wells needed to monitor plume behavior, with a focus on reducing the monitoring well network and related costs.

The WSATM method evaluates the sufficiency of existing monitoring well points in an attempt to reduce them to a statistically acceptable number while maintaining plume analysis data integrity.

Other Services

Ricker Method® Transect Analysis
A unique way to evaluate mass flux (i.e., mass discharge or rate of contaminant flow) across an arbitrary boundary. This analysis uses the techniques of the Ricker Method® applied to contaminant data and potentiometric surface data to provide an indication of mass flux that is an improvement on traditional methods of mass flux calculations.

Ricker Method® Molar Trend and Molar Ratio Analysis
Using techniques developed from the Ricker Method®, our team has developed easy-to-understand visual graphics to better understand parent/daughter degradation sequences. These graphics depict total molar mass as well as relative molar fraction trends over set time intervals for a defined monitoring well network. This analysis helps provide a better understanding of parent/daughter attenuation rates and mechanisms.
