Practice Area Networks (PAN)
The PANs are WSP’s professional networks available to all our employees globally – there are currently 100+ technical and advisory PANs available for you to join. This engaging platform allows us to foster collaboration across our organisation globally and ultimately deliver more value to our clients by bringing our best expertise to the forefront across all our projects.
Mentoring and buddy system
Mentoring is one of the tools available at WSP to assist you with your learning and development. Mentoring is a relationship in which someone with identified abilities or competencies enables another person to develop their own abilities and talents. It encourages and supports the development of professional knowledge, competence and high standards of performance.
One of the ways in which we support personal development during the induction phase is to pair new starters with a buddy in their team. Consider your buddy as a “go-to” person who will provide insight and advice on the culture, the team, etc.
Reward and recognition programs
Applaud is a web-based platform that enables us to recognise and reward success instantly. Managers can reward team members with points, e-cards, and other gestures. You can redeem your points in the online gift store for a range of different rewards including gift cards, food and wine, technology, homewares, travel and experiences.
