Daisy’s multi-objective results will identify a bespoke set of options able to prioritise varying amounts of daylight and additional heating and cooling requirements through integrated façade and environmental simulations, as well as the overall embodied carbon of the various design permutations.

Daisy uses parametric design, machine learning and multi-objective optimisation to create a catalogue of hundreds of potential building designs. The design catalogue contains the results of individual building simulations, allowing comparison of key performance metrics such as building embodied carbon, energy use intensity and spatial daylight autonomy.

By rapidly assessing large numbers of potential designs, Daisy goes beyond basic parametric design, and allows designers to identify a set of parameters based on multiple objectives in which to compare the potential designs that enable high building performance. They’re then better able to understand the long-term savings possible through early-stage design optimisation.
